Awesome TV, Mediocre Amazon Delivery Service
Could not be happier with this TV. Really, it's exceptional. I had it narrowed down between this and a similar Sony model. I literally just picked the one that had the better reviews.

The ordering process was quick and easy, and 48 hours later I got a call from the CEVA delivery service, scheduling the "white glove" delivery.

What a crock. If by "white glove service", you mean a dude who asks "do you want me to bring it inside?" while standing in your building's lobby, then yes, it was indeed, "white glove". After taking the 15 foot walk, he set it down in my living room, handed me the papers to sign, and then clearly expected a tip. I asked him if he could unpack it, and the dude looked at me like I was severely deformed. Told him to forget it, signed and told him "thanks". The morale to the story is don't expect much in terms of "white glove". Mr. Belvedere will not be delivering your TV.

Overall, happy with the TV but I'll think twice about ordering big/expensive stuff from Amazon.

Excellent Picture and Audio
I just purchased this television to replace my 42 inch Regza and my only regret is that I didn't go with the 52 inch version of this set.

First let me start off with the picture. The picture completely blows my Regza out of the water. As a matter of fact watching some of my BR and HD discs was almost like a new experience. I did look at a couple of 120hz sets but to be honest I am not sure how that would have helped my viewing experience since I am more of a movie person and I really don't care to see the director's tricks.

Now we get to the audio which has been a sore spot for many reviewers. The one caveat I should mention is that I don't have a surround sound system so I can only compare this to my Regza. One of this issues with my Toshiba was that I had to crank the volume pretty high to have anything close to a theatrical experience. Well I can say that with this television that is not a problem at all. The audio on this television is above and beyond what I have ever experienced on another television. Is it like having true surround sound? Of course not. But it is more than adequate

Samsung LN46B550 46 Inch
Outstanding television set. This is my second Samsung and I am sold on this brand.

B550 - very good value
After a lot of research I had made up my mind to get the LN46A650...unfortunately that item was discontinued so that the B series could come out this year. The B650 costs considerably more for the same features as the previous model. Unwilling to pay the extra price, I decided to go with the B550, while crossing my fingers and hoping that the lack of 120hz technology wouldn't make a difference. Guess what...it didn't. The picture on the B550 is the best you can get at this price range(trust me, I've done the research). It has plenty of picture tweaking settings, improved contrast ratio over the previous model, a really nice design, and it's CHEAP! Buy it! But make sure you have a separate audio system because the speakers on this TV are horrible. Not a big upset though; I don't think anyone buys big fancy TVs for the sound, its all about the picture and this TV's got it.

Poor Support
I purchased this TV in January 2009 and in May it developed a problem with the controls no longer interfacing with the TV (remote and side controls). At this point the TV was unusable.

Then I entered into the nightmare of trying to get Samsung to fullfil their obligation under the warranty and repair the TV.

They sent a contractor that I can never get on the phone, shows up hours later then the scheduled time, and never follows through. I have had to take countless hours out of my work day to keep calling over and over in an attempt to resolve the issue. The contractor is US Techdisplay LLC.

The repair contractor has ordered parts, replaced parts, attempted three times to repair the TV. They said on the last visit that they would make a determination that the TV can not be repaired. Since that time I can not get an answer from Samsung and can not reach the repair contractor. The repair contractor will not return phone calls. When I speak to the Samsung Executive Customer Service I get no where.

So, I have a TV that cost over 00 in my house that does not work and has not been replaced. I have taken off work to wait for the contractor on three seperate occassions and always have to make calls myself in an attempt to resolve the issue. However, nothing is being resolved.

The bottom line is that Samsung does not support their products and I advise your to buy another brand with better support so that you do not have to experience my nightmare.

A great HDTV for your kitchen!
I wanted a HDTV that had a good viewing range (from angles) as well as one that is reliable, etc. This unit meets all my goals and the price was not too bad either. The unit is lightweight and looks good in the room.

don't fear the sound
I was a bit apprehensive on what the sound quality would be like on this TV having read all the reviews. I can tell you that I have this in an 11 X 14 room with cathedral ceilings and I have absolutely NO issues with the sound quality! The picture quality is fabulous and the set up was so simple. I like this so much that I'm thinking of upgrading my living room TV to a larger version of this. Don't let the reviews on the sound quality hold you back from purchasing. And don't forget to go with the super saver free shipping. My delivery with this option was less than 48 hours from my confirmation!!

Fits perfectly into my space - good product
Great value with more features than need. Had space limitations but this product met them.

Take your home theater to the next level
I installed this tv a few days ago. It replaces a 2000 Daewoo that served me well for 9 years. I was forced to upgrade my television because my cable provider started pulling good channels off of regular cable and putting them on digital. I tried to install the new cable box to the Daewoo but that tv had no inputs other than the cable input (I was already using an RF converter box and thus was approaching cable overload). So I reluctantly ended up buying the Toshiba 22AV500U here. After all of the work and money, I must say that I am pleased with the results. Digital cable is fun and has a lot of features and all of my shows have never looked clearer or sharper. I am also enjoying watching my dvds on the Toshiba tv. You have not seen Polar Express until you've seen it in high definition!

The Toshiba is high quality. I have no dead pixels and no backlight bleed. I did have an issue with the stand not moving when I first pulled it out of the box but that was because I wasn't pulling hard enough (you never know how delicate these modern electronics are). I also ended up calling Toshiba customer support a few times. Each time I talked to someone knowledgeable and helpful.

As for the size, I have found 22 inches to be more than adequate. I have a smallish entertainment center and didn't want to upgrade that too. The tv is in a rather large living room and there isn't a bad seat in the room.

I also should mention that at work my Dell lcd monitor made me so sick that I had to go back to the old crt monitor. The issue I think is that lcds are lit by a florescent bulb. Because florescent bulbs flash like a strobe light they can sometimes make you feel ill when you stare into them. I have had no issues with that with my Toshiba.

I also highly recommend that you use an hdmi cable between your dvd player and the Toshiba (and everywhere else you can too). I bought mine here on Amazon for a few dollars (the 6 ft 1080p cable by DVI Gear). It is an excellent cable. What the local stores charge for the same thing is quite scandalous.

Outstanding picture
I recently purchased a Toshiba 22" LCD HD Model # 22AV500U TV from abt electronics through Amazon and the results were superb. The on-line experience, shipping/delivery and the TV's performance were / are all simply outstanding.

Great TV
This is the second 19" DVD TV Combo my wife and I purchased. Great picture!

Good value for the money
I have owned this unit for about four months and feel free to make a few comments.

Pro - The picture is excellent in DVD format. I only have standard cable (not HD) and the picture is excellent.
- Lots of inputs
- Nice stand

Cons - The sound is tinny ( thin metallic sound ) and really sucks. I have some computer speakers hooked up as others suggest.
- Really slow to change channels. Still can't get used to the delay
- The remote is not really user friendly. Bulky and confusing to operate.

I knew of these issues before purchasing, and overall I am satisfied with the unit.

Toshiba 19" TV/DVD
Nice little TV set. I use it to show DVDs in a guest room, and it works great. White matches my decor pretty well, and gives a nice clear picture and sound. 19" is the right size for this small room.

Wonderful As A Bedroom Or Small Room Unit
I'm not horribly tech-savvy, but perhaps that will be a plus for people who don't know what 720P means, like me. Yes, I'll admit it. :) So if you're into specs and technical terms, I might disappoint you. But if you just want a smaller TV that works and has a good picture, hopefully my review will help you make a decision!

For starters, let's make it simple and divide the pros and cons (or what I view to be pros and cons):

Pros:
--Simple set-up. I have never set up a television in my life, but you pretty much just turn the TV on, use the easy-to-understand Auto Setup and voilà!
--Great size for a bedroom, which is where mine is right now. While it may be a little harder to see from more than 10 feet away, it's size is perfect for, say, a 12x12 room.
--Plays DivX multimedia beautifully!
--The DVD slot on the side is wonderful. Spits it out far enough so you don't need to get fingerprints all over the bottom of the disc, and eliminates the space waster of a separate DVD unit.
--Very lightweight, about 12 pounds I've read, with mounting holes for the wall. I will probably mount it on the wall eventually, but for now it sits on my old TV stand (which housed a 22-inch bulky Memorex VHS/DVD combo that was heavy and cumbersome). The stand that comes attached to the TV is adequate.
--Lovely picture quality. Easily connected an HD set-top box for HD viewing. HD is amazing, but so was the regular digital signal before I received the HD box.
--Decent instructions. Usually I don't even glance at the manuals I receive with electronic items, but the one for this is pretty detailed and easy to follow.
--Sound. Pretty good sound quality for a small tv! Did not notice any excessive "tinny" sound, and if I did, well... it's not like this is top-of-the-line sound quality--but it's fine for this unit. Stereo versus surround makes a noticeable difference (I prefer surround, even without surround hook-ups). However, the sound is also a con...

Cons
--Sound/volume. While the sound itself might be good, the volume goes up to 50, which seems like enough but really I only hear a difference between every 10 numbers... 0, 10, 20, etc... Where my old TV went up to 50 as well and I rarely needed it above 15, sometimes 20 for my room, I find I'm nearly always in the 40-max range on this television (I don't like loud volumes, so it's not like I want everyone in the house to hear whatever movie I'm playing). However, I've also noticed that it depends on what I'm watching. Some TV shows need to be 50, while most of my DVDs are plenty loud enough around 20 (maybe something to do with HD channels? I noticed those seem to be louder at lower volumes than standard definition--could be my imagination). Still the biggest disappointment, even for a smaller TV. Solution? I had some old Bose computer speakers, an unused headphones jack on the back (the back?) of the TV and presto. Much better sound. I imagine any type of computer speakers may help if it doesn't seem loud enough.
--Fingerprint magnet. Sure, I could just not touch it, but I'm a little weird when it comes to having a unit that looks like a kid thought it was a touch screen if I so much as turn it 90 degrees. While the shiny-ness does contribute to its sleek look, I just have to be more careful. Luckily, the television comes with a nice cloth that wipes off prints nicely.
--Remote. This is practically the same large remote that came with an older bulky Toshiba HDTV that my family bought about 4 years ago. Doesn't quite match the "sleek" factor that the TV itself is going for. Whatever, though. The remote works and is simple enough, providing for easy DVD/TV switchover. It's mainly just a cosmetic thing, obviously does not affect performance in any way, but still kind of strange.
--Start-up time. For me, it isn't a big deal, but it does usually take about 5-10 seconds to start up. Quicker with a DVD.

I did not feel like I was "trading down" by discontinuing the use of my older, much bulkier 22" Memorex VHS/DVD combo. I no longer use VHS in any form and the small, thin, and sleek design of these newer flat-screens open a lot more options as far as placement and size of entertainment stand (if any, as mentioned before this television is ready for wall mounting). For the price and for the size, I definitely feel that I got a good deal. This is a good television for bedrooms, fitness rooms, small dens, or even kitchens. I would certainly not use it as a main television, however, but I didn't need it as a main television. I've always had good luck with Toshiba products, so even though I've only had this product for a week, I plan on using it for a long time!

TV-DVD
So far so good on the TV. Will be giving it to my granddaughter for her birthday soon.

Excellent TV
The price was lower than most stores advertised price and the clarity of this TV is unmatched. I made the correct choice-no doubt about it.

awesome
great product, great value. get a blue ray player to really make full use of its capabilitites.

Samsung is High Quality
The reason I bought the A630 over the A650 was due to the Reflective Screen the 650 has. I didnt want to have any glare. The 650 won many awards on CNET.com which I trust. This TV is extremely clear and looks great too.

I figured I would pay an extra 300-400 more $$ and buy a TV that would last me a while compared to a cheaper 0-900 off brand.

Love the TV and it was shipped with the box in great condition and on time. Excellent experience overall.

I strongly DO NOT recommend this product.
Sorry to say the delivery man just came back today to take it back to Amazon Warehouse. VERY bad picture, blurry, ghosting, all around it has a bad choice. It's a lower end model and it showed.

FIne looking machine
Before I bought this TV I looked and researched LCD TV's. I checked out CNET.com, consumerreports.com, and then went into several stores like Best Buy to become familiar with the product. Samsung has come a long way over the years and when I found out Samsung makes Sony's panel and that Sony was way overpriced it was an obvious choice. Samsung beats out Sony not only in picture, but the aesthetics of the system. The only down side I see is the 10W speakers, but honestly if you are going to buy a tv this big you are more than likely going to have a home theater system so that stat is obsolete. I can't emphasize enough the importance of the matte finish on the screen. This is the 630, the 650 has the high gloss screen. If you have windows or lighting fixtures that will glare off the TV get the matte finish, when you bring it home you won't even know the difference. THis is an awesome TV, the picture quality and options on this system are nice, but if you don't take my word for it check out CNET.com, they give you a video critique of the TV. Other than that buying through Amazon I saved 500 dollars after talking with Best Buy about lowering their price. ENJOY.

Great TV Great Price Fast shipping
I got this TV on June 12, the day all my local channels cut off analog, using rabbit ears the TV works fine, sound is great and picture is good plus fast shipping from JR, Havent tried to hook up computer or dvd yet. Hope this lasts!!!!!!!!

Good TV GREAT Price!!
Bought this from J&R.com through Amazon. TV is very good with QAM HD Tuner. Somewhat slow changing HD channels, but all HD TV's are slower than analog... great Picture and TV seems sturdy... You do not need a cable box to receive HD channels. Stereo is a bit weak in volume...remote has no codes for an all in one remote....1080p for future transmissions... goes up to 1080i now...

Great buy!
I purchased this fabulous TV before I could really use it. There was no problem holding the unit for a few weeks until I could prepare the place for it. Delivery was fabulous (a few minutes later than the scheduled 4 hour window). They unpacked the TV, mounted it on my display unit (not the wall), made sure that it worked properly, cleaned up and removed the packaging all for no additional cost. The TV is fabulous, but the entire purchase and delivery procedure was delightful.

Great Buy
Great picture and price for size. Was easy to set up the blu ray, sat, vcr/dvd with manyt inputs for video games. Came pretty quick too.

Best Value 58" Plasma
The TV is fantastic. We've had it for a month now and have had no problems. The picture quality is great and you have a ton of options for configuring the image to your liking (factory settings were terrible). The sound, though clearly nowhere near the quality of a home theater system, are actually pretty good for a TV. The unit looks great as well. For those of you concerned about the Touch of Color, it's so subtle that I don't notice it -- it looks like it has a beautiful piano-black frame. I was most concerned about how effective the anti-reflective screen was at dealing with glare as we have a lot of ambient light in the room (this was an issue with our old CRT). I'm happy to say glare is no problem with this plasma during the day or at night. Keep in mind, this is a HEAVY TV. Make sure you have at least two strong people who are comfortable lifting heavy/bulky items when moving it around.

Good Price but Defective Piece
I bought This TV with very reasonable price and service is real good tha tincludes Delivery as well as after sales customer service..the only thingi have to mention is i got defective piece @ the cost of New so quality is not good got vertical thick different color line at half screen stay for 20 minutes wheveer you turn ON the TV which is repaired by samsung service man at home butin other word i can get better refurbished TV at that price..

Awesome Set
This is one awesome television set. The color and clarity of the picture is amazing. Actual set-up was simple and quick. My expectations have clearly been exceeded.
